Diabetes type 2?

Lately from around 5PM until midnight i am extremely thirsty. Has this anything to having Diabetes? i take Medication and insolin but have not had this problem before.
Thank you in advance
Answer:
think about what you have changed since this started now in the evenings..have you been eating or drinking anything different that you can think of?? i have had type 1 diabetes for over 30 years and i would have to say that when you get that thirsty feeling to check your blood sugar with a reliable meter and it will probably read as being higher than usual. When i get extremely thirsty I know that my blood sugar is high and i need to take some additional insulin--water will also decrease your blood sugar---try that and see and if nothing becomes really clear to you about the thirst i would suggest that you see your dr. and see what he/she has to say--hope this helps and good luck!
SEE YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY. YOU MAY HAVE CHANGES IN YOUR DIABETES THAT YOU ARE UNAWARE OF AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY YOUR PHYSICIAN NOT BY THIS ANSWER SITE.
Extreme thirst as you know is a sign of diabetes... but it could be a side effect from meds... or your insulin may need increased... best to contact your Dr. diabetes is nothing to fool around with...
Increased thirst in a diabetic person can be due to increased blood sugar or electrolyte imbalance, mostly both r interrelated. I d advise u to regulary check ur blood sugar and if its elevated then visit a doctor, also check ur HbA1c from a lab.
Any unexpected or strange events while you are under ANY madication MUST be reported to your doctor, dont relay on answers you might fing in here.
I have diabetis too, yes, most all of diabectics are allways thirsty.
Extreme thirst is one of the symptoms of diabetes.
I'm type 2 as well is your main meal larger in the evening because i get very thirsty if i eat a little to much or something with a higher fat content i always get thirsty if my blood sugar level goes above 9( this is a UK reading) so i now make sure that i eat at the same time every day and make my meals about the same size and calorie value and i don't eat anything now with a high fat content this works for me but i am also on metformin and my local pharmacist told me that they can increase thirst but not in everyone, also thirst was one of the first things that i noticed before i was diagnosed the thirst i had was it didn't matter what i drank or how much i was still thirsty and as i said this still happens now if my blood sugar level goes up also i didn't need to drink in the night before but i do now so i hope this helps
Uncontrolled diabetes (usually a blood sugar %26gt;200) can cause Polyuria (excessive urination), polydipsia (excessive thirst) and fatigue. If you only have excessive thirst but not excessive urination, it could be a side-effect of one of your medications or a totally different problem. I would recommend seeing your physician regarding this. Like others have said - I wouldn't rely on a board like this for answers pertaining to your health.
