Answer:
Just pray that everything will be alright...
http://www.merck.com/mmhe/sec09/ch131/ch...This will educate you on the staging of colon cancer.
Waiting is difficult. But the biopsy is the only sure way to know. Sorry and good luck!
My husband had colon cancer and although he did have a lump, It also hurt when he sat down. He had blood in his stools but, It was worse than a woman with her period and the color was a dark brown. He also had excessive gas and diareah with that. He lost a ton of weight as well. But when the Dr. finally found the problem it was to late. it metastasized through out his body. It sounds to me that it was just that, Polyps and the biopsy should come out fine. Good luck and I'll say a prayer for you tonight.
The symptoms of Colon Cancer may include: rectal bleeding, iron-deficiency anemia, alteration in bowel habits, bowel obstruction, or abdominal pain and distension.
Without these symptoms, candidates can do the screening exam. Patients with these symptoms should undergo total colonic examination,
(cite from "www.smile.org.au")Early detection of colorectal cancer dramatically increases survival. For example, 90% of patients who receive early treatment are still alive after 5 years compared to 64% survival when adjacent organs or lymph nodes are affected. With traditional colorectal cancer treatments only 10% of patients are alive after 5 years if the cancer is carried to distant organs. The peak age of onset of colorectal cancer in the United States is at age 65 years.
(quote from "www.smile.org.au")I suggest you visit "www.smile.org.au"-- it is a huge database about the symptoms, preventions, effects of cancers, as well as a wide range of cancer therapies. You should also visit a specialty doctor to do some examination for you.
