Do Homeopathic Doctors Really Heal Chronic Depression?

Has anyone been healed by a homeopathic doctor and their weird techniques? Which are the best techniques?
Answer:
This is an interesting one! As a cancer patient I have been undergoing conventional medical therapy and I'm now undertaking a course of radio therapy following chemo and surgery. In addition I have been seeing a naturopath/homeopath for assistance and have been undertaking some of the naturopathic treatments which made sense. Recently, however it was recommended that I consider some homeopathic treatment, which as you may know involves treating particular symptoms with extremely diluted substances that if taken by healthy person (in quantity) the same symptoms would occur. (treating like with like). Homeopathic cure is based on three principles: * Like cures like
* Potentization-dynamization
* The law of infinitesimalsAs an engineer, I couldn't take this flimsy explanation on face value so I needed to investigate the theory further and determine if it was valid. Without going into too much detail I determined that the basis of the so called substances being used in extremely small dilutions based on a so called homeopathies "law of infinitesimals", whereby the more diluted the substance being administered was the better and more potent its effect would be! Homeopathic products are made from minerals, botanical substances, and several other sources that are diluted to such an extent, that if you consider some basic laws of chemistry which state that there is a limit to the dilution that can be made without losing the original substance altogether. Then the dilutions of remedies being offered you would find that there would not even be 1 molecule of the substance being prescribed in the remedy! The maximum possible dilutions relate to Avogadro's number which corresponds to homeopathic potencies of 12C or 24X (1 part in 10 to the power of 24), yet remedies offered are generally diluted by as much as 30X or considerably more!In my mind, assuming that the fundamental theory of curing like with like isn't also flawed, there is no way this treatment would work! At best I would see it a placebo, and ones strength in the belief that it is doing something for them, could certainly make a difference, as the power of the mind is an amazing thing, and largely untapped. But then again I think the same could be achieved by taking sugar water, so long as you believed in it. However, when all said is done, you need to do what you feel is right for you.Best of Luck.
Homeopaths have been known to help people who suffer from depression by treating their general overall wellbeing. They treat the person and not just the symptoms. They will gather as much information about you ie. your thoughts, feelings, likes, dislikes, etc and find the best remedy for you. It's based on the theory that like cures like. They offer you either pillules or tablets in different strengths depending on the severity of the condition and then monitor your progress by providing follow-up appointments until they get the right remedy for you and see an improvement.As well as homeopathic remedies, counselling is usually one of the best forms of treatment for chronic depression. The flower remedy 'St. John's Wort' can also help with mild to moderate depression by taking at least 900mg, but don't take this if you are on any other medication as it may block the effect of the other medication.
I have never been to a homeopathic doctor. There are none available in my area. But I do use some of the same techniques in my home such as reflexology, kinesiology and cleanses for the body. Natural remedies have worked better for me and my family than conventional doctors as far as prevention and maintenance on the body. In my research for helping a friend with depression I have come upon many interresting things. First of all, if your colon is plugged with undigested food, proper nutrition cannot be absorbed the way it needs to be. This can have everything to do with many health problems. If you are not getting the right fuel, you're running on an empty tank. No amount of depression medication can clean your colon. A homeopathic doctor may suggest a colong cleanse.Many homeopathic doctors know how to muscle test for things that you may be sensitive to (i.e. foods, chemicals, etc). Muscle testing seems kind of weird if you've never done it before. It is easy and there is no guessing, you body knows what makes it weak or strong. It works and I use it every day. Lack of oxygen may be the cause of your depression. When the brain does not get the oxygen it needs, it doesn't operate properly. GHT makes an oxygen suppliment that you might be interested in.Another cause for depression can be murcery poisoning from dental fillings, immunizations etc. This can also be something a homeopatic doctor can check for.Hope this helps. If the homeopathic doctor you see doesn't mention these things, ask him. It may help in solving your problem.
Yes, I had a homeopathic cure for depression. And it did work.
